BATMONTH Finale - The Hero Gotham Deserves

WARNING: Major Spoilers For The Dark Knight Rises Are Discussed At Length

The Legend Ends. The legend of Batmonth, at least, because The Dork Knights are ready to say goodbye with the seventh and final chapter of the series' installments detailing their own personal history with The Batman! And how do they decide to top off their chronicling of a history spanning over seventy years? With a review of The Dark Knight's latest theatrical outing, and the long-awaited end of Christopher Nolan's trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. Starring Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Hardy, Rises sets to close out the story started by Begins and Knight. Does Nolan's Batman go out with a bang, or must it's punishment be more severe? The Dork Knights take it upon themselves to decide, because they haven't given their hero enough. Not everything. Not yet.

Finally, we would like to personally extend our deepest condolences to the victims of the Colorado shooting on Friday. We weren't sure of how to properly address it at the time of recording, or if it were even respectful to address it at all, so we hope that at least acknowledging it here is enough. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected.

BATMONTH #6 - We Can Bring Gotham Back

Are you ready to begin? If not, too bad! The Dork Knights have reached the penultimate chapter of Batmonth, having withstood the trials of the 40's serials, made peace with the 60's series, relived a nostalgic classic in the form of the Burton films, and even suffered through the lowest points of the Schumacher era. Now, they face their greatest challenge yet, as The Dimwitted Duo finally make it to the climatic first two installments of a soon-to-be trilogy: Christopher Nolan's first foray into the genesis of The Batman and the blockbuster sequel, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. But are these two heralded films really the stuff of legend, or will they leave the two asking themselves 'Why So Serious?'. Plus, discover how Begins inadvertently began The Dork Knights, aswell as the discovery of the movies' Otis, the most unlikely member of The League of Shadows, the most awkward near-casting of the franchise, and who is outed as the true hero of the series. Surprisingly, it's not it's cape and cowled lead.

And tune in for the dramatic finale this Sunday, as The Dork Knights cap off their loveletter to The Dark Knight with a special podcast review of his latest adventure, The Dark Knight Rises!

BATMONTH #2 - You're Practice

It's that time in Gotham City once again, as The Batman's adventures begin on the silver screen, reviewed and accounted for by The Dork Knights! Hear the tale of the often-overlooked initial live-action outings of The Caped Crusader through the 1940's serialized film craze, where the only supervillains are racially insensitive stereotypes with shifty eyes, the Batmobile is a chevy, invisible klansmen roam the night, and the title character is the biggest racist of them all. But just wait, there's more! Because following that discussion, The Dimwitted Duo delve into the popular 1960's Batman series, starring Adam West and Burt Ward! Holy cliffhangers, it's going to be a more exciting than a rubber shark stuffed with explosives!
